  Hypocrisy hides hate

Old argument: "Gays can't serve because they can be blackmailed by someone who threatens to expose them."

New argument: "Gays can't serve openly because it lowers morale... or something." (after "don't ask, don't tell")

Well, which is it? If gays in the military, and there have always and will always be gays who serve and serve with distinction(!), are willing to out themselves there's no threat of blackmail. If engaging in any sexual act in ranks is already grounds for expulsion... then what's left to argue? The truth? Yes. What's left is the un-spoken argument that's been at the core all along: "Straight men who apparently aren't afraid of death are afraid of a gay person touching them." Mostly because they don't understand and aren't willing to try to understand (might get some of the gay on them in the process, daddy said).

Such is the power of social conditioning. "You let one of them gays touch you, boy, then you gone be one too. All gays is fairies, not real men. You don't wan' be no faggot, do you, boy?!??"

Dear men. Your gender is grossly over-populated with morons who are unhealthily obsessed with 'manhood'. It's a wonder some of them can tie their own damned shoes, much less see past the end of their nose.

Meehan targeting 'don't ask, don't tell'
