Oh GOD, this has become an ordeal. Mostly... well, mostly because I screwed up a) the machine and b) the backups. Actually the backups went fine, it was my moving of old backups that didn't go so well... as in I spent ages getting them archived and moved off... only to delete them in a rather Jerry Lewis-like moment.
Anyway, I'm almost back to 'good'. The machine is reloaded and has all the updates and stuff and I have a good chunk of my data restored (yay! email! and my blog apps complete with preferences!). I gotta reload a buncha apps... but for now... I need sleep... and my bra is itching... and there are infomercials on TV... yep. Bedtime.
