So with an article in the Sydney Morning Herald on Friday talking about Microsoft's new phone already having 2 published exploits and possible other problems, this article (the BMW part, specifically) brings it all home. Bottom line folks: If we buy this shit we're just asking for more of the same. Except, it's usually no big deal when your PC crashes downloading pr0n, but when your car crashes or someone hacks your phone... well, that's a different story, now isn't it? Don't encourage them... and, yes, by them I do mean Microsoft... Let someone who HAS shown a regard for security and your best interests handle things like this. Microsoft has a track record of failing to deliver and delivering below expected standards. Don't encourage them to let that sub-standard care creep into your house, car, etc. On the plus side, SMH reports that DVRs/PVRs (think Tivo) are starting to show up in the Australian market. Yay! I miss Tivo so much. :) Happy birthday (again) Hef.
