America is ready to invade another country. This has always been a bad thing when other nations do it. Apparently this is a case of 'might makes right'... *sigh* Monkey Man is going to cause a war. "Cause" a war. Wage a war. Start a war. The only bright side, I guess, is that they aren't doing it like in 'the old days' (read: in his dad's day); Send in some covert ops and have the CIA pay for a bunch of 'freedom fighters' while looking surprised that the leader of said nation is dead/deposed and 'democratic spirit' has suddenly sprung up wholly formed. *sigh x 2* And the fact that the U.N. is not behind any of this doesn't seem to phase him... Way to go, Monkey Man, let's set back the unity of people and nations about 20 or 30 years. The world is annoyed with us and Dubya just barrels forward making it worse -- opinion be damned, he's gonna have a war just like his daddy did... Fuck. Yes, Hussein is 'bad', but so are a dozen other leaders (some whom we support despite their 'badness'). Apparently they don't have enough oil to worry over them. American spirit? Someone should direct some of that good old American ire at the Intel Corp. who's set to send a buttload of jobs overseas (Malaysia and India, it seems). Well... they don't send them per se... they get rid of them here, then create them there. Apparently, from the rumour mill, Mr. Barrett thinks American workers are to blame and need to just put forth more effort to compete... riiiiiight. It's their fault that they can't buy food for their family for half the price. The talk about how foreign countries won't buy parts that they identify as not coming from their country. This is true sometimes. The next one will the the USA, Mr. Barret, when they find that you've shipped half your workforce to Asia. They'll buy a superior product from a foreign company, but they won't buy from those they feel have fucked them and lied to them. They'll be even more pissed off when they find out your company says it's not even an American company. Funny, Andy Grove used to talk about how America saved him and gave him everything he had. Funny that. I'm all for globalism. I really am. But I'm all for honesty and fair play, too. They're lying to their people and their customers. That's just wrong. I'm so glad I got out when I did.
